PawsyUX/UI Case Study — High-Precision Emergency and Scheduling Ecosystem for Veterinary Clinics
Role: End-to-End Product Designer (UX/UI)
Timeline: 2 Weeks
Platform: Mobile
The Challenge
Veterinary clinics and hospitals face severe operational bottlenecks due to inefficient scheduling systems and congested phone lines. Staff members are frequently overwhelmed by non-critical inquiry calls, preventing them from focusing on high-priority medical situations.
On the other side, pet owners lack immediate tools to differentiate between minor symptoms and true medical emergencies, causing overloaded booking flows and increasing the owners’ anxiety.
The Solution
Pawsy introduces a digital ecosystem that solves this dual friction. By empowering owners to independently select specific services, choose preferred veterinarians, and resolve medical doubts through an intelligent AI Triage Assistant, the platform shifts routine administrative tasks into a seamless self-service flow.
This automated filtering system improves the appointment pipeline, dramatically reduces incoming call volumes, and optimizes time management for clinical staff, allowing them to reallocate their focus toward high-priority on-site care.
UX Architecture & Evolution
Cleaning the noise
Moving from wireframes to the final UI was about structural discipline. Implementing a strict grid pattern and a pill-shaped button system organized medical data cleanly, removing all visual noise.
Clinical calm
The harsh monochrome structures evolved into a soft, clinical aesthetic. Pure whites were replaced with muted tones and a slate blue accent color, creating a reassuring visual ecosystem that actively reduces user stress during medical booking tasks.
AI Ingestion
To eliminate manual data entry friction, the onboarding flow introduces automated document scanning. Owners simply photograph their pet’s vaccination booklet, and the AI automatically extracts dates, identifies overdue vaccines, and pushes alerts directly to the dashboard.
Emergency SOS
To support tutors in moments of emergency, the interface provides an ergonomic, high-visibility emergency button. Acting as a critical bypass, a single tap instantly redirects the user to the native device dialer connected to the hospital's priority line. This shortcut eliminates navigation delays, ensures immediate clinical communication, and clears hospital reception bottlenecks during peak hours.
